100 Mile Wildnerness, Here We Come

This weekend, Kenny and I decided to backpack the 100 Mile Wilderness of Maine in one fell swoop. Assuming childcare can be arranged, we will take two weeks off of work next July and plan accordingly. I think that section of the AT will only take us 8-10 days, so to round out the two weeks I'm thinking a side trip to Gulf Hagas should be included in our excursion. Plus, we'll cap it off with a night of lodging near Monson and Abol Bridge, at the beginning and end of the trip, respectively.

Right now, I'm thinking we should go northbound. The terrain is said to be tricky at the beginning, but overall the entire hundred miles isn't anything like the Whites--where we were broken in.

I'm going to use this blog to plan for the trip and eventually capture our memories. Please follow along and comment as you'd like. I welcome input and motivational words.
